Why is it called Australia Square? To this day it's still our most common question.
Australia Square is the generic name for an icon within the Sydney CBD. Situated on the corner
of George and Bond Streets, the familiar round tower building has been the focal point for the
precinct since it's construction in 1967 when it earned its place in history as Sydney's first
true office tower.
The complex comprises a 50-storey A-Grade office tower (the Tower Building), the adjoining
13-storey office Tower (the Plaza Building), a food court, and underground 400-space car park.
Together they all form Australia Square.
This website has been designed to provide general information with respect to the office areas,
building services, commercial tenant's information and areas for lease within the precinct.
